Funeral for Richard “Buddy” Wilson, 69, of Somerville will be Thursday, February 18, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Moore officiating.
Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.
Mr. Wilson, who died Monday, February 15, 2010, at Decatur General Hospital, was born January 15, 1941, in Tennessee to the late Grover Wilson and Gypsy Ladeen Farrow Wilson. He was retired from the city of Decatur after 22 and a half years. He was loved by all his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Sally Wilson; three sisters, Mary Hitt of Huntsville, Angie Champion of Somerville and Cora Hand of Arab; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Harold Champion, Marlon Champion, Terry Johnson, Michael Maxwell, Richy Leathers and Robert Fricks.
