Roger Dale Johnson

Funeral for Roger Dale Johnson, 59, will be today, August 20, 2011, at 3 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Dennis Shadix and Minister Rick Eichelberger officiating. Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be today beginning at 1 p.m. until the time of service.

Mr. Johnson, who died August 17, 2011, at Huntsville Hospital, was born December 19, 1951, in Morgan County to Mabel and Joe Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a member of Beltline Church of Christ. He was employed at Goodyear and Hyosung USA for 40 years, being known for his hard work and dedication. He was a devoted father and grandfather and he loved spending time with his family. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by Donna Jordan and Kenneth Johnson. Survivors include his parents; daughters, Sherry Johnson (Jeremy) and Casey Johnson (Nick) both of Decatur; brothers, Donald Johnson (Queen), Ricky Johnson (Dayna), Terry Johnson (Tina), Jeff Johnson (Linda), and Joey Johnson (Lawana) all of Decatur; grandchildren, Ensley Johnson, Macy Holland, Hamilton Holland, and he also loved Ashley Crow (Bryan), Harley, Layne, and Gage Crow.

Pallbearers will be Donald Johnson, Ricky Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Terry Johnson, Joey Johnson, and Chris Liles.

The family will accept flowers or contributions can be made to the Mike Nix Scholarship Fund at Beltline Church of Christ or Meals on Wheels.
