Funeral service for Vivian Morris Sowell, 101, of Decatur will be Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lowery officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sowell, who died Sunday, February 12, 2012, at Decatur General Hospital, was born January 2, 1911, in Morgan County to Andrew and Roxie Herbert. She was a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church. She was a great mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by two sons, Billy Charles Morris and Howard Ray Morris; one daughter, Marylene McDonald Paul; and husbands, Mark Anthony Morris and Coy Dee Sowell.
Survivors include one son, James W. Morris; one daughter, Dorothy Morris Ratliff; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grand- children and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
