Funeral for William "Russell" Mink, 85, of Decatur will be today, April 6, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with Dr. Scotty Hogan officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Mink, who died Monday, April 4, 2011, at Parkway Medical Center, was born January 30, 1926, in Five Points, Tenn., to Marcus Luther Mink and Camilla Hale Mink. He was a U.S. Air Force Korean War veteran and was retired from Civil Service with NASA. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Julia Imadee Thompson Mink; sister, Christine Gillespie; and brother, James Mink.
Survivors include his son, Micheal Russell (Bonnie) Mink; daughter, Vickie Mink Lott; five grandchildren, Amanda (Scott) Boyette, Josh Lott, Megan (Dow) Coggin, Rebekah Lott and Jacob Lott; and six great-grandchildren, Alex Coggin, Nicholas Coggin, Jasmine Mahaley, Faith Boyette, Julia Coggin and Jayla Mahaley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Lott, Jake Lott, Alex Coggin and Nicholas Coggin.
