Charlotte LaPorta (91), beloved wife of Attilio (Al) passed into her rest Saturday morning after a short, severe illness. The last of seven siblings, who all grew up through depression times and determined to raise their families as centric; appreciative of God’s gifts and connected to each other no matter time or circumstance, Charlotte built a concentrated pure legacy of love and caring which withstood the test of time, as can be attested by those who knew her well. When times got tough, Charlotte went back to work as an awarded Executive Secretary at AIL and then Eaton Industries, while trying to raise her two kids to be just like her; committed and ready to face whatever obstacles life threw them.
Al was the perfect love of her life, as they shared moments and memories that can never be duplicated. From first kiss through children, weddings, grandkids and finally a great-grandson (dad never got to see) they were completely inseparable; setting a role model for those in love….at first and forever.
Charlotte is survived by her daughter Mary, husband John, grandchildren Tom and Courtney; her son Gene, wife Patti, grandchildren Meghan and Beth, great-grandson Cameron… along with an extended family of nephews and nieces who will all miss her presence in their lives.
