Mrs. Pinto was born in New York City to her late parents, Sabatino and Ernestina. Through a friend, she met her beau and future husband, Joseph Pinto, Sr. They married and shortly after, Joseph was called to military service. They began their life together in Corona, Queens; and eventually moved to Huntington, where they raised their family.
Florence is remembered most fondly for her love of cooking. Her daughter, JoAnne; recalls how her mother found much joy in feeding people. In her residence complex, she was always cooking or baking for some event or someone. She also enjoyed Bingo, playing Slots at the Casinos, and was an avid Lotto player. Her love of her family was her life. She cherished being with her grandchildren, and just taking care of all her family.
Surviving are her children – her daughters, Victoria Brasile; and JoAnne Impoco and son-in-law, John; her grandchildren – Samantha Brasile, Joseph Brasile and his wife, Lisa; Lori Roman and her husband, Angel; and Lisa Impoco. Preceding Florence in death is her husband, Joseph, Sr., their son, Joseph Pinto, Jr.; her son-in-law, Vincent Brasile; her granddaughter, Stephanie Brasile; and her sisters – Frances, Jenny, Minnie and Anna.
Florence was also a cherished great-grandmother to Tommy, Mikey, Madison, Jacob and Leah.
