

Anthony was born in Bagheria, Sicily on August 27, 1934. In 1949 Anthony immigrated into this country through Silver Creek, NY and later joined the United States Army serving as a Specialist Third Class. In 1964 he married Pamela Scott Richardson (1944-2000) and they started a family in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Anthony was active in his faith community, St. Ambrose Catholic Church. He loved serving the church community as a Fourth Level Knight with the Knights of Columbus. Anthony became an entrepreneur, opening his own Prudential Insurance Agency office, serving his clients for 28 years until his retirement. In 1983 he married Marilyn D’Amato. Affectionately known as Tony among friends and nicknamed Captain Chianti by his grown children, he is fondly remembered as a man who loved his faith, cooking and sipping on a good glass of wine while sharing contagious laughter with those he loved.
Anthony is predeceased by his wife of 39 years, Marilyn, stepchildren Linda Dorencz, and Jerry D’Amato. He is survived by siblings Mary, Rosalie, Salvatore, Angelo, children Matthew, Jim, Marissa, Michelle, Frank, sixteen grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
A visitation for Anthony will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraeer-Becker Funeral Home, 217 E Hillsboro Blvd, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, July 3, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church, 380 Federal Hwy, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, July 3, 2024 from 11:15 AM to 12:00 PM at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1500 S State Rd 7, North Lauderdale, FL 33068.
