

Edith “Edie” Millward (Granville) passed away Thursday, January 1, with her family beside her. She was born in Lawrence, MA on August 29, 1932. Her best friend and husband for 50 years, Donald “Don” Millward predeceased her in 2003.
Edith is survived by four sons, a daughter, eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Son William Millward lives with his wife Sandra in Westborough, MA. Son Donald Millward Jr. and his fiancée Nancy Dupriest live in Hollywood, FL. Son Michael Millward lives in Boca Raton, FL. Son Thomas Millward and his wife Laura reside in Boca Raton, FL. Her daughter Jennifer Sadowski and her husband Brian reside in Boca Raton, FL.
Edith “Gram” was a proud grandmother to Gregory Millward, Michael Millward, Matthew Millward, Wade Millward, Alexander Millward, Connor Sadowski, Amanda Millward, Keegan Sadowski, Stone Millward, Chad Millward, Ireland Sadowski and great grandmother to Lily, Dominic, Anna, Audrey and Daniel. Edith is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Edith was predeceased by her sisters Shirley Markarian, Pauline Lind, Grace Giguere and a brother Everett who died at the age of ten.
Edith was the daughter of Everett Lewis Granville and Edith Viola (McLaughlin) Granville and she grew up in Andover and Worcester and graduated from South High in 1950. She worked for a number of local companies including NE Telephone, Commerce Bank and Harr Ford and later devoted her life o her husband, children, family and friends. Her children were blessed with a mom who put the love and togetherness of family above everything. Her home in Worcester was the weekend and holiday gathering place for all of the relatives and friends from both side of the family for many years. Edith has many life-long friends from Worcester and until recently attended the South High Class of 1950 reunion gatherings.
Professional opportunities called and Edie and Don and the three youngest children left Worcester in 1977 for Blue Springs, MO, then to Littleton, CO and later Deerfield Beach, FL to be with family.
Edith was a member of St. Peters Church and St. Charles Church while residing in Worcester and for the past years was a member of St. Ambrose Church in Deerfield Beach.
Edith’s funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday January 8th at St. Ambrose Church at 9:30am. Burial will follow at Deerfield Beach Memorial Cemetery where she will be with her husband Don.
