Michael Patrick Driscoll, 67, of Deerfield Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on June 12, 2025. A beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, great nephew, and friend, Michael’s kind heart and infectious smile left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Born on April 8, 1958, to William and Helen Driscoll, Michael was raised in North Andover, Massachusetts, where his love for the outdoors and sports began early.
He could often be found outside with neighborhood friends—tossing a football in the yard or skating across Lake Cochichewick. Known for his natural talent on the ice, Michael developed a deep passion for hockey that stayed with him throughout his life. He continued to play well into adulthood, always remaining active and connected to the sports he loved. Summers were spent at Plum Island Beach and winters skiing up north, creating lasting memories that reflected his lifelong love of nature, family, and fun.
Michael dedicated 35 years of service as a master plumber at Holy Family Hospital, where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability. Outside of work, he found joy on the golf course and was a proud 20-year member of Atkinson Country Club. He also loved to travel and cheer on his beloved Boston sports teams.
In 2021, Michael retired to Florida with family and embraced a more relaxed lifestyle—soaking up the sun, enjoying time at the beach, and surrounding himself with those he loved. Of all his passions, none meant more to him than family. Whether at a lively gathering or sitting together in quiet company, Michael’s heart was always fullest when with the people he cherished most.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen Driscoll. He is lovingly remembered by his brother, William Driscoll; his sister, Mary Ellen Dolloff; his nephew, Mark Dolloff; his nieces, Ashley Dolloff (Eric Defronzo) and Helen Ravin (Alexander Ravin); and his cherished great nephew, Jayden Defronzo.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 11 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you honor Michael’s memory by performing an act of kindness for someone in need—something he did often and without hesitation.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the nurses at Continuum Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion.
Michael’s warmth, humor, and love for his family will never be forgotten. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and devotion.
Thinking of you
I thought of you with love today,
but that is nothing new.
I thought about you yesterday,
and days before that too.
I think of you in silence,
I often speak your name.
All I have are memories
and your picture in a frame.
Your memory is my keepsake
with which I’ll never part.
God has you in his keeping,
I have you in my heart.
