

Teresa Latrash-Seliga was born on October 13, 1933 in Barcelona, Venezuela. The last of thirteen brothers and sisters, Teresa was the little baby loved by all of her siblings who moved to Caracas, Venezuela where she grew up and attended school. She also attended school in New Orleans, LA and then returned to Caracas where she worked for the Mobil Oil Company. There she met and married Frederick W, Latrash who worked for the US State Department. Together they travelled the world, raised three children, and lived in Venezuela, Panama, Chile , Bolivia, Uruguay, Brazil, and the United States. She lost her husband of 39 years on July 11, 2002. On May 1st 2005, Teresa married her second husband, Theodore Ladis Seliga and travelled the world again splitting their time between Florida and Hawaii. On April 26, 2016, Teresa passed away peacefully in her sleep while in their home in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Teresa will be deeply missed and is survived by her sister Julia, her brother Celestino, her second-husband Ted, her daughter Teri and son-in-law Kevin Burke and three grandkids Marina, Lana, and Vaughan-Arthur as well as her son Fred and daughter-in-law Melanie and grandchildren Brianna, Andrew, and Annie-Laurie. An incredible woman and role-model for us all. We will miss you.
