Alda Sherwin, 87, of Del City, OK passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011. Alda was born May 2, 1924 in Prague, OK to John & Effie Barnes. After graduating from Prague High School, she married the love of her life, John “Jack” Sherwin. They moved to Del City in 1946 & built their home where they would remain for 65 years. Alda worked for Boeing in Wichita, KS during WW II, then at Epperly Heights Grammar School. She loved being a mother, housewife, sewing, crafts, & gardening. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack & 4 sisters. She is survived by son James & wife Linda Sherwin of Moore, OK. She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, & friends. Services will be held Friday at 10:00 am at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home (Del City); interment at Arlington Memory Garden following.
