Allen Daniel Phillips of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on March 23, 2024, at the age of 93. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, on December 27, 1930, to parents Daniel Phillips and Margaret Phillips (Plass). Prior to making Oklahoma his home, he lived in Illinois until 1980. Allen joined the United States Air Force, where he served for 25 years. He married his loving wife, Kim Phillips, and they spent 64 years together.
Allen enjoyed listening to Big Band music and reading the comic cartoon section in the newspaper. Something that Allen loved was spending time fishing on the lake. Most people will remember Allen as hardworking, devoted, a father, and a husband. Allen is someone who could teach others the value of working hard and being successful in life.
He is preceded in death by his son, John William Phillips; brother, Richard Phillips; and sister, Jenny Phillips.
He is survived by his son, Patrick Edward Phillips (Tracy) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
A graveside for Allen will be held Friday, March 29, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 2301 E Indian Hills Rd., Norman, OK 73071.
