

Barbara was a devoted wife whose golden wedding anniversary was cut short by five months. She dedicated her life to being a loving mother. The family enjoyed many happy moments at their house on Lake Eufaula. Barbara shared her talents as a quilter, embroiderer and seamstress, teaching those skills to her daughters. Her career included work at Globe Life Insurance, Mistletoe Express and Presbyterian Hospital.
She was born January 23, 1946, in Magnolia, Arkansas, the firstborn child of J.Hue and Virginia Bigelow. A 1964 graduate of Smackover High School, she, her siblings and friends relished their childhood in the oilfield. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Timothy Lynn; and her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Arnold Dean Lloyd of Del City, Oklahoma; two daughters and a son-in-law, Tammy Simkins and Renee Tanodra and Arnold Tanodra, all of Harrah, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Brittany Simkins of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Brendon Bergman of Moore, Oklahoma and Kaitlyn Simkins of Harrah, Oklahoma; three great-grandchildren, Brookelynn Minnick of Harrah, Oklahoma, Madison Minnick of Harrah, Oklahoma and Hunter Chavez of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one brother, Rodney Bigelow of Van Buren, Arkansas; a sister, Sue Ewing of Waldron, Arkansas; numerous cousins and other family members.
The family will receive friends at the Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home Sunday, 12 to 8 p.m. and Monday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The service to celebrate her life is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014, in the Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Del City with Dr. Ron Ogle officiating. Burial will follow in Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City.
Pallbearers will be Brendon Bergman, Stephen Lloyd, Christopher Lloyd, Buddy Lloyd, David Lloyd and Mickey Gallop.
