

He was born November 3, 1917, in Mangum, Greer County, OK to the late Jess F. Thompson and Effie Price. On Dec. 20, 1941, he was united in marriage to Helen Loyd Duncan in Cyril, OK. Tommy was active military for more than 21 years with the United States Air Force and served all over the world and in both WWII and the Korean War. Tommy retired from the service as Lt. Colonel on Dec. 13, 1963 and then began his second career. Tommy and Helen both served the Midwest City/Del City area as members of Board of Realtors and co-owner/broker of Thompson Realty for over 20 years.
Tommy is survived by his son Thomas Thompson and wife Tawanna; his daughter Debra King and husband Kyle; also his grandchildren, Jennifer Daniels and husband Gavin, Kimberly Radich and husband Paul, Matthew Thompson and fiancé Jeanelle, Sarah Orellana and husband Vidal, and Jordan King; also his great-grandchildren, Anthony, Makaylah and Emily. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Charlotte Ann; his wife, Helen Loyd and his brothers Lavelle, Alfred, and Harold.
Funeral services for Carlos M. “Tommy” Thompson will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 5, 2010 at Sooner Baptist Church in Midwest City, OK to be followed by the burial at Sunny Lane Cemetery, in Del City, OK.
