Carolyn Faye Bryant passed away on April 15, 2024 in Midwest City, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years old. She was born in Arcadia, Oklahoma, on October 24, 1941 to parents Oscar William Bryant and Naomi Faye Bryant. Carolyn graduated from Midwest City High School in 1956, then moved in with her aunt and uncle, JD and Java, where she learned keypunch. This is what helped her get a job at the Federal Aviation Administration, where her dad was an instructor. Carolyn worked her way up and retired as an
inventory specialist in the 7000 unit in navigation and landing for the Federal Aviation Administration. She had a love for making cakes, playing with her cats, and collecting rocks.
Many know Carolyn for her enjoyment in watching TV and how proud she was of her achievements while working at the Federal Aviation Administration. She was a member of Southern Baptist Church in Midwest City during her younger years of life.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her brother John Bryant and sister Judy Nettleton (Wesley Nettleton). She is survived by her sister Marilyn Jean Miller (Dallas Lee Miller) of Del City, Oklahoma; nieces DeAnna Bass and Vickie Hill, nephew John Nettleton and her cat Bubba.
A funeral service for Carolyn will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Sunny Lane Funeral Home, 4000 SE 29th Street, Del City, OK 73115. Following the funeral service will be a burial at Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 N Midwest Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73141.
