Carolyn Sue Lakin 69, passed away on March 23, 2015. Carolyn was born on July 4, 1945 in Oklahoma City, OK to Earl Kenneth and Mabel Lou McKinney (Howard). On August 16, 1963, Carolyn married the love of her life, Ray Lakin. She loved watching OU football, flower gardening and vegetable gardening. In her earlier years, she was an avid reader. Carolyn loved her family very much and was very family oriented. She had even been certified as a Midwest City police volunteer, neighborhood watch, and CERT training.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband. Survivors include her children, Teresa Lakin and Ken Lakin; grandsons, Rush Lakin, Isaiah Lakin, and Kobe Lakin; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
