

Charlene Eyler was born July 21st, 1951 in Harrah, OK to Earl and Othela Waldrip, the youngest of three children. She grew up in Harrah, OK and was raised in the First Baptist Church of Harrah, and was currently a member of Del Baptist Temple in Del City, OK.
She worked at the Pepsi Bottling Plant in Oklahoma City until she was hired by Western Electric in the 1970s. She was a Quality Control Specialist for over 25 years, under many different company names, until her retirement from Celestica, Inc. Later in life, Charlene was a caregiver and assisted with managing numerous rental properties.
Charlene always worked hard to provide for her two sons, Kyle and Josh, she was very proud of her boys and her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with family and was a huge part in the lives of all her nieces and nephews. Charlene was a light in the family, a friend to many and she has left us all with a legacy of love. Charlene will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her two sons, Kyle Abernathy and Amber of Nixa, MO and Josh Hurd and Anna of Davenport, WA. Grandchildren: Sierra (Abernathy) and husband Dayton Gambrell and Zach Abernathy, Natalie, Evelyn (Eva) and Judith (JuJu) Hurd, Seth Scoggins and Colby Scoggins. Great grandsons: Gaitlin and Gunner Gambrell. Her sister Betty Berry and Keith of Yukon, OK, brother Harry Waldrip and Vickie of Choctaw, OK, sister Kathy Fisher of Paden, OK and stepfather, Cecil Lowell of the home, stepbrothers, Jeff Lowell and Vic Owens, and a large caring family.
Charlene passed away July 8th, 2025 in Oklahoma City, OK. She is preceded in death by her mother, Othela Lowell, father, Earl Waldrip and great niece Briannon (Bri).
A memorial service will be held August 2nd, 2025 at 11:00am. Services will be held at Del Baptist Temple (3236 SE 15th St, Del City, OK 73115) and will be officiated by Pastor Josh Hurd and Pastor Mike Smith. Prayers are appreciated.
