He went to school in the Oklahoma City school system and graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1966. After graduating, he served in the United States Army from 1967 until 1969. He served one tour in Viet Nam. He retired from the City of Oklahoma City (Bldg. Mgmt.) after 27 years of service.
Chuck found his Lord in July 1996.
His parents precede “Chuck” in death. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Melva Brinlee and their son Scott A. Brinlee; his brothers: Arvel L. Brinlee, Randal K. Brinlee, and Denver R. and wife Deborah A. Brinlee; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as many close friends.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Rest Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Oklahoma American Cancer Society made in memory of Charles Brinlee.
