with cancer to meet his heavenly father. Chuck was born to James and Naomi Cooper in Ponca City, Ok.
He attended School in Bartlesville, OK and then proudly served in the Army from Jan 1966 thru Dec 1968
including a tour in Viet Nam as a Pole Lineman. After his military service he met the love of his life,
Linda Lee Boyett at the Rocket Skating Rink in OKC and they were married on 23 Aug 1969. For the last
51 years they have been best friends and made many happy memories. During their first 20 years of
marriage they skated through life competing in dance roller skating in regionals and nationals through
several states. After skating they enjoyed ballroom dancing, two-stepping, and any kind of dance you
can imagine. Chuck loved the outdoors, working in the flower garden, going to their lake house at
Eufaula where he enjoyed boating and fishing. He also enjoyed bowling, golfing, casinos, and antique
cars especially his 1947 Ford. He began his career at TAFB in 1969 where he primarily worked in
management as a supervisor in DLA before retiring in 2002. He was also active in the City of Del City as a
member of the Planning Commission for many years. He was a member of American Legion Post 13 for
the past 34 years. Chuck was one of the kindest and best persons you will ever meet. He loved life, his
country, family, and friends. He was quite the handyman - there wasn't much that he couldn't fix. He
was preceded in death by his parents James and Naomi Cooper, father-in-law, Roland Boyett, nephew,
David L. Kitchens, niece, Kimberley Rose Kitchens Woods, and his two precious Yorkies - Bart and Odie.
