

Daniel William Crossley, 91, of Moore, Oklahoma, passed away on November 16, 2014. He was born August 1, 1923 in Quinton, Oklahoma and raised in Stonewall, Oklahoma. He was born to Lee and Becky (Perry) Crossley.
Daniel served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was in 17 major engagements on the ship U.S.S. Ormsby. As an ironworker his job required him to travel to various places around the world. Dan was the President of the Ironworker Union. He was a councilman at large for the Oklahoma Choctaw Tribe. He was a Mason and Shriner of the Indian Temple. Dan and his wife, Jean Crossley were founders of Dan’s Famous Indian Tacos. He was a good man and will be remembered for his stories, his willingness to help those in need, and for the love he had for his family.
Dan is survived by his wife of 39 years, Jean Crossley, of the home; daughter Danette Crossley; sons, Danny Crossley, Leonard Dodd, and Mike Burkhart; grandchildren, Danielle Crossley, Brian and Angela Dodd, Brad Pemberton, Jon and Scott Burkhart; ten great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brothers, Jim and Lee Crossley; sister, Kathryn Sadler.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Becky Crossley; brothers, Earnest Crossley, John Crossley; sister, Olive Irvine; daughter, Patricia Dodd; a granddaughter, Alice Pemberton.
