Daniel D. Jasper went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 30th, 2014 in Norman, OK at the age of 44 years old. He was born July 15,1969 in Amarillo, Texas to Milford Jackie Jasper and Erma Ellen (Farmer) Jasper. Daniel attended Coronado High School, and discovered his talent as a salesman shortly after high school. Daniel worked selling cars for Pollard Ford in Lubbock, TX. He later went to work as a sales manager for Solitaire Homes in Deming, NM and Commerce, OK. Daniel also worked as a family counselor for SCI Sunny Lane Funeral Home. Daniel was a natural born sales man and had several accomplishments excelling sales goals and contests to include accomplishing the “Million Dollar Sales” associate. Daniel’s greatest achievement was but none greater than the life built with the love and compassion he had for his wife Melanie and their children. Daniel had many passions in life to include muscle cars, football, good music, and loved spending time with family and friends. He was a proud member of New Life Bible Church and Faith Pointe Baptist Church.
Those left to carry on his legacy include his wife, Melanie S. Jasper; children, Corey Daniel Jasper and Courtney Alison Jasper of Lubbock, TX, Alexis Breann Barrera, Brisa Krystiana Jasper, Necia Elizabeth Jasper, Aly Aspen Jasper, and Jaxson Daniel Jasper all of Norman, OK, his parents Jackie and Erma Jasper of Lubbock, TX, one brother Jerry D. Jasper of Texarkana, TX, and two sisters Cherie Huckabey and husband John of Lubbock, TX and Cindy White and husband Shane of Lubbock, TX; as well as two nieces and three nephews, many family members and a host of friends.
Over the past three years Daniel became quite a fighter and a super hero to many while he lived through his fight with Colon cancer. Daniel never let the word “cancer” tear him down if anything it gave him a strong will and determination. Daniel always said no matter what he was going to win and he has won as today he is standing in the presence of God. Despite his struggles, Daniel always remained very positive and hopeful and never complained about anything he endured. He is truly an inspiration to many as his faith in the Lord has always been strong despite the situation he was forced to face. Daniel without thought put the needs and concerns of others before his own. Daniel was a very humble man of God who touched so many lives during his time and he will be dearly loved and missed by all. As Daniel would say “Until we meet again…”
