

He was the son of Joe Bailey Auld and Shirley Frances Toler Auld of Blackwell, Ok. In 1948 the family moved to Blackwell where his father
taught school. In the summer of 1953 the family moved to Vinita, Ok and after three years the family moved back to Blackwell in 1956. David
graduated from Blackwell High School in 1966 then Northern Oklahoma College before joining the US Army on December 29, 1966, in Oklahoma
City, OK. While in the Army he served in Vietnam and Germany. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic
of Vitnam Campaign Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal (4th Award), Overseas Service Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Cross
of Gallantry with Palm, Sharpshooter ( M-16 Rifle and M-14 Rifle). After getting out of the service on November 13, 1981, he returned to Blackwell.
He then finally got a chance to work at the VA in Oklahoma City in 1995 where he retired on March 31, 2015 after 20 years of service. He is
survived by his two sisters, Jeanie Williams of Blackwell, Ok and Robin Magers of Garden Grove, Calif. His nieces and nephews; Margo Williams
Scott Williams, James Ging, Manda Ging, Aaron Auld, Lauren Auld, Gabe Mardis, Brea Tqaoteote and Amy Mardis. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister JoEllen Ging and Brother-in-law Richard Ging and his brother George Auld. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday May 18, 2015 at Fort Sill National Cemetery. The family asked for those attending the graveside service to please arrive 15 minutes prior to service starting.
