

Ethel Owetta “Nana” Mosley, 89, went to be with the Lord on September 21, 2016. She was the daughter of A.B. and Laura (Henderson) Upchurch. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.
Owetta was born and raised in the McAlester area where she later met and married the love of her life James “Jim” Mosley on December 24th 1944. In the early 1950’s the family moved to the Midwest City, Del City area where she lived until October 2015 when she moved to Frisco, Texas to be closer to her granddaughter, Tammy and her great grandsons Kaleb and Krue.
Family was her first priority; she took great pride and effort to provide an environment of love in raising and caring for her family. Owetta was a strong and talented woman who set a great example for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her strength and strong Faith was something admired by everyone who knew her and will be her lasting legacy.
Owetta was known for her elegance and poise yet had a spunky and sassy side too. She was a classy woman who was always dressed to the nines and ahead of the fashion trends of the day. She loved to shop and had a special love for shoes. Her favorite thing was to dance. She enjoyed going to various dance events with her husband over the years and enjoyed the Shriners and Masonic balls.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, James “Jim” Mosley, Brother James Ray Upchurch and Brother Edward Upchurch. Surviving is her daughter Rita Mosley of Oklahoma City, Granddaughter Tammy Lowe of Frisco, Texas and Great Grandsons Kaleb and Krue Lowe of Frisco, Texas, Brother and sister-n-law Gene and Earlene Upchurch of McAlester, Nieces Rae Lynn Upchurch, Karla Kay Brooks and Krystal Kane of McAlester. Special family friends Chester, Wendy, Kalynn and Airman First Class Cody Jackson of Frisco, Texas and Annette Anthony of Del City, Oklahoma.
She was loved by many and will be greatly missed until we meet again.
