Evelyn Wana Jones, 89, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on September 8, 2016 in Broken Arrow, OK. She was born on April 12, 1927 in Orange, NJ to Frederick Henry and Lavina Roberta Loretta (Schmidt) Parkhurst.
Family was her passion and she could often be found sewing PJ’s for her grandchildren or attending their various sporting events. She enjoyed attending church, crocheting, working puzzles and word searches.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, David Preston Jones; and two sisters, Joan and Wana. Survivors include her children, David Jones (Holly), Freddie Buckley (Richard), Robert Jones (Shirley); grandchildren, Joey Faulkner (Eric), Tony Jones (Veronica), Michael Buckley (Darla), Chris Jones, Dustin Jones (Januari), Tracy Loyd (Billy), Jeremy and Ryan Jones; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 12, 2016 at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
