Fred Louis Hubert III

Louis is survived by his mother Mary Laughlin Hubert and his loving wife of 46 years Karen, daughter Kathryn Lopez and husband Arthur, and son Freddie Hubert and wife Felicia. His grandchildren Emily and her husband Bradley, Michael and his significant other Stormie, Kayleigh, Jordyn, Logan, Justin, and Dallas, and Great grandchildren Octavia and Raymond Louis. As well as sisters Mary Jo and husband Jon, Joni, Jadie and husband Kevin and brother Jerald and significant other Merlien. In addition to, many sister in laws and brother in laws, nieces, and nephews.

Louis was born in Altus, Oklahoma but Albuquerque, New Mexico was home for him and his family. For over 30 years he was a long haul trucker. He knew the highways and byways like the back of his hand, on the CB he was known by many as Baby Huey and didn’t know a stranger on the road but rather a friend he just hadn’t met. He loved being on the road because as he said it, he was a paid tourist.

Louis or as many knew him by LuLu would give you the last dollar in his pocket or the shirt off his back. He had a sense of humor that you didn’t know if he was pulling your leg or being serious. Later in life he enjoy being a gunsmith as well as woodworking and DIY projects around the house, despite his family’s teasing that he was Tim the Toolman. He has many friends and family that will miss him. A celebration of Louis’s life is being planned for a future date.
