Harlen Odell Minyard

Harlen Odell Minyard, 79, passed away August 21, 2025. He was born in Oklahoma City, OK to Luke and Ruby Cook Minyard. Harlen graduated from Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City, OK. and Rose State College in Midwest City, OK.

He retired from the U.S. Air Force – Air National Guard on June 19, 2006 as a TSG (Tech Sergeant) and the State Department of Rehabilitation Services in 2013.

He loved family reunions, fishing, photography, painting various crafts, treasure hunting, planting his vegetable gardens and traveling for leisure and TDY for his military service. He was an eclectic music lover. A Patriot through and through.

He is survived by his daughter, Felicia Michelle and her husband Roy Thomas Gibble, their oldest daughter, Victoria Gibble, and Carriruth Harczak (Kevin) and their daughters Elliza Ann Michelle and Thalia Catherine Rose Harczak, step-daughter Pamela Barnhart (Les), her oldest Elizabeth Wilson (Mark) their children Cooper and Greyson Wilson, Emmery Thummell (David) and daughters, Heidi and Stella Thummel, her son Evan Frejo, grandsons, Daniel and Nathan Harp.

Harlen was preceded in death by his wife Phillis, parents Luke and Ruby, step-dad, Bill Bales, brothers, Bernie Meyers and Jimmy Minyard, his step-son Richard Lee Keene and step-daughter Karrie Elizabeth Arnold.

He will be remembered as the most kind and loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend that anyone could ask for.
