

Harry R. Thompson, 71, of McLoud, OK passed away on April 22, 2012. He was born on Oct. 17, 1940 in Boswell, OK to Arch and Ebilene Thompson. Harry graduated from Boswell High School and was proud to be a 32nd degree Mason later in life. He was member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Shawnee, OK. where he enjoyed being around children and even taught Sunday school. Harry worked with ceramic tiles for many years. He also drove a truck for Lee Way Motor Freight for 8 years. Harry enjoyed being around his family and friends and loved playing pool and water skiing. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Troyce Thompson, brother-in-law Dean Newlun, sister Billie Draper and brother-in-law Lloyd Draper. Harry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Glenda Thompson, sons Ron & Julie Thompson of Shawnee, OK, and Randy & Emy Thompson of Eufuala, OK, sisters Sue Mock and Johnnie & Ed Crowder, sisters-in-law Patsy Thompson and Sheila Newlun, granddaughters Megan & Kayla Thompson of Dodd City, TX, grandson Colton Thompson of Midwest City, OK and step-grandson Kamron & Crystal Woodring of Fairfax, MO as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service were held of Friday, April 27th, at 2 PM in the Sunny Lane Funeral Home Chapel located at 4000 SE 29th Street, Del City, OK 73115 with burial following at Sunny Lane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Gideon Association.
