

Hugh was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Danny Lowry, seven sisters and two brothers. Survivors include his wife, Virginia of 65 years; daughters, Ruth Steffens and husband Gene of Oklahoma City; Linda Ferguson and husband Mike of Noble, Oklahoma; Carol Grider and husband Dennis of Salina, Kansas; two sons, Jack Lowry and wife Janice of Van Buren, Arkansas; Roger Lowry and wife Linda of Barling, Arkansas; daughter-in-law Astrid Lowry of Tulsa, Oklahoma, thirteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews; other family members and a host of friends.
Hugh enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He also loved camping trips. He was very innovative and crafty and his touch could be seen on everything around.
Hugh served in the Army during WWII as an Engineer for the 4th Armor Division and he cherished reunions with his fellow Division members. Hugh was a member of the Church of Christ and served as an elder at the Douglas, Marshall, Ridgecrest, and Central Church of Christ in Moore.
