On November 26, 1951, Irene married James R. Byus in Oklahoma City, OK. She loved cooking and cherished spending time with her family. She enjoyed growing hens and chickens, watching Young and the Restless, and talking on the phone or as her family called it, the “Irene Hotline”, she was also a member of the Rebecca Oddfellow Lodge.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Robert Thomas Byus; siblings, Joe, Hubert, and J.B. Billings, Lloyd and Troy Treat, Myrtle Byus and Donna Arko. Survivors include her children, Jim Byus (Camilla), Claude Byus (Doresa); grandchildren, Jonathan Byus, Kim Jeans, Kristin Hardison (Lance), David and Justin Byus; great-grandchildren, Jakobe, Graham, Gracelyn, James, Phoenix and Aiden.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 20, 2015 at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.eisenhourfuneral.com
