Jack was born on April 7, 1940, at home in San Antonio, Texas, to Woodrow and Kathryn Davis. At the age of six, he moved with his family to Midwest City, where he later graduated from Midwest City High School in 1959. In 1960, Jack joined the United States Army and proudly served three years in Germany.
Shortly after returning home to Oklahoma, Jack met the love of his life, Glenda. They met just one week after his return, married a year later, and went on to share 60 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a life centered on family, faith, hard work, and community. They were faithful members of Meadowood Baptist Church.
Jack worked as a facilities manager at Tinker Air Force Base for 25 years. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.
An avid fisherman, Jack loved being on the lake. He was also a gifted carpenter and used his talents faithfully. He and Glenda spent many years serving with Campers on Mission, helping with church construction and renovation projects. Together with their children, they traveled across the United States, creating cherished memories at campgrounds along the way.
Jack will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, servant’s heart, and unwavering faith. The Davis home was the gathering place for countless church cookouts, family reunions, sporting events, and birthday celebrations. The two-story white house Jack built across from Rose State College became a well-known landmark and a symbol of hospitality and love.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Glenda; his son, Ed Davis; his daughter, Jaci Wargin, and her husband, Jeff Wargin; his grandsons, Austin Wargin and Jackson Wargin, as well as Austin's wife, Brooke.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Kathryn Davis; his brother, Bill Davis; and his sister-in-law, Charleen Davis.
Visitation will be held from 2:00–5:00 PM on Sunday, February 22, at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 23, at Meadowood Baptist Church in Midwest City.
Jack’s legacy of love, faith, hard work, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
