He was born March15, 1929 in Ada, Oklahoma to James Maurice and Nannie (Johnson) Alexander.
After graduating from Midwest City High School he married Joy Belle Herrin in Ada, OK, on June 6, 1949. He served his country in the 45th Infantry National Guard of Oklahoma. Jim was a member of FSBC of Del City, Oklahoma, and owned and operated Alexander Shoe Repair in Midwest City from 1946-2002.
Jim is survived by wife Joy Belle, Son: James Alexander and wife Faye of Oklahoma City. Daughter: Carol and husband Greg Gammon of Moore, OK. Grandchildren: Kristi and husband Geoff Parker, Stephen and wife Amberlea, Chrissy and Brian Boydstun as well as 7 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Sisters: Edna Briem of Lima, OH, Billie Leemaster of Norman, OK., and Pat Parker of Mary Ester, FL.
Jim is preceded in death by both parents and granddaughter Shelley Scott.
Services are Monday, December 5, 2011 at 10:00 am. at First Southern Baptist Church. Interment to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery. Visitation will begin Saturday afternoon at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home in Del City. To leave your condolences go to www.eisenhourfuneral.com
