John Robert Lindsey Jr., 82, went to be with his Lord on September 18, 2015 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on January 11, 1933 to John Robert and Bertha B. (Roberts) Lindsey in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As a young man, John enlisted in the United States Army and served his country proudly. He was a member of the American Legion organization. John discovered he had a natural talent for dancing. He later became a dance instructor for Arthur Murray’s Dance Studio. John enjoyed reading mysteries, westerns, and Christian books. Years later, he became a licensed minister.
John is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his children, Petrina Lorenz and her ex-husband Jeffrey, Crystal Lindsey, John Robert Lindsey III and his wife, Gina; ex-wife and mother of his children, Doris Lindsey; sister, Linda McNabb; grandchildren, Alanan Lindsey, Joseph Lorenz, Jarrett Lindsey; niece, Cheri Brownlee; nephew, James Thompson, and a host of relatives and friends.
