Joyce Ann Ackerman

She married the love of her life, Ronald Ackerman on January 28, 1967, and they had three children.

She retired from the Oklahoma City Veteran Affairs Medical Center where she worked in the Chaplain’s office.

She loved to read, travel, and spend time with her children and grandchildren. She was blessed to live in New Hampshire the last few years of her life where she enjoyed so many of God’s beautiful landscapes she had never seen before.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Leanne McFarland, and husband, Michael; oldest son, Jeffery and wife, Teri; youngest son, Steven, and wife, Vanessa; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Ackerman; her parents, Thurman and Jettie Hood, and sister Kathleen McClendon.

A visitation for Joyce will be held Friday, September 26, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home at Sunny Lane Cemetery, 4000 SE 29th Street, Del City, OK 73115. A funeral service will occur Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. John of Nepomuk Catholic Church, 600 Garth Brooks Blvd, Yukon, OK 73099. Interment will occur after the service on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Sunny Lane Cemetery, 4000 SE 29th St., Del City, OK 73115.
