

Joyce was born on February 8, 1949, in Hennessey, Oklahoma, to Edwin and Minnie Vadder. She married the love of her life, Harvey Davis, Jr., on May 22, 1982, and together they built a life centered on family, love, and dedication. They were blessed with three children: Preston, Deidre, and Sherri.
Joyce worked as a histologist for more than 40 years, dedicating her career to the medical field. She retired in 2015 from Midwest Regional Medical Center, where she was respected for her skill, work ethic, and commitment.
Joyce had many talents and hobbies throughout her life. She enjoyed painting pictures, decorating cakes, and sewing, and she had a remarkable ability to figure out how to do anything that needed to be done. Above all else, Joyce treasured time spent with her family. She especially loved playing with her grandchildren and watching them grow, finding great joy in each stage of their lives.
She is survived by her husband, Harvey Davis, Jr.; her children Preston (Riann), Deidre (Josh), and Sherri (David); her grandchildren Paige (Jeremy), Brody (Khleo), Layla, Tyler (Alisha), Cassidy (Dylan), Shae (Rahul), Cole, Houston, and Brooklyn; and her great-grandchildren Lakelee, Magnolia, and Harvey.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Minnie Vadder; her mother-in-law Verble Davis; her brothers Davy Joe Vadder and Lieutenant Vadder; her sister Peggy Vadder Winter, sister in laws JoAnn Davis and Wanda Franks; and her grandson Joseph Davis.
Services are being provided by Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home of Del City, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at Sooner Baptist Church, 5824 SE 15th Street, Midwest City, Oklahoma 73110, on January 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Preston, Brody, Tyler, Dylan, Rahul, and Cole.
She will be laid to rest at Oak View Cemetery in Lovell, OK.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Joyce will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
