Joyce Carol Henry

Joyce Carol Henry closed her eyes to sleep and awoke in Heaven on February 7th, 2014. She passed peacefully from this life at her home in Oklahoma City, OK. Joyce was born on July 14th, 1941 in Davenport, OK to Orville and Opal Smith. She married the love of her life Bobby L. Henry on November 23rd, 1957 in Davenport, OK. They celebrated 56 years of marriage together. Joyce was well known for her cooking, baking, crochet and generous heart. She spent years creating a loving home for her family and babysitting many children. Her love of her family and friends was only second to her love of the Lord and her church home. She always had a smile and a hug, and cookies and burritos for all. She is survived by her husband, Bobby L. Henry, daughter, Pam Moore of Midwest City, OK; son and daughter-in-law Scott and Diane Henry of Gainesville, Texas; and daughter Donnelle and husband, Michael Bridge of Moore, OK. She is also survived by grandchildren Brittany and Brandon Moore of Midwest City, OK, Meagan and Jared Henry of Gainesville, TX, and Michaela and Caitlynn Bridge of Moore, OK; sisters, Mary Blaney and Dowanna Lamb of Davenport, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Melvin Smith.

Visitation is Monday February 10, 2014 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Funeral Home Chapel.
