Judy Kay Burgess Love passed away surrounded by her loving family on October 18, 2016 at the age of 58. Judy was born to Ruby Joyce (Dockery) and William Monroe Burgess on October 12, 1958 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Judy could often be found at her favorite fishing spot at Grand Lake, where she also made her home. Her love for animals inspired her to place feeders in her yard for hummingbirds, squirrels, and deer. Judy was an avid collector of such unique items as barbecue grills, stuffed monkeys, and fishing poles. People would travel from miles around to see her exceptional display of Christmas decorations, which earned her first place in the Grove Christmas decoration contest. Judy was also an excellent cook who always made sure her family had a warm meal to enjoy, and her fried chicken was a popular family request. Judy’s kind, loving spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Judy is survived by her parents, Joyce and William Burgess; husband, Michael; children, Michael Love and Carolyn Gonzalez and husband Raymond; sister, Lisa Herdman and husband, Darren; 5 precious grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
