Katherine "Kay" Bryson Wilkinson

Kay worked for many years in the Del City area as publisher/owner of the Del City News and broker/owner of The Home Finders Real Estate company and she was also elected to the City Council (’75-’79). In 1976 she was a Delegate to the Democratic National Convention. She also published “Del City Oklahoma…From the Beginning”. She received many more awards and certificates, too numerous to list, from local Congressmen, Mayors, and other Civic leaders and Police departments. She loved ‘life’ and always lived it to the fullest, until her health wouldn’t allow it any more.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Bobbie and Dorothy. Survivors include her loving husband of almost 58 years, Franklin “Ed” Wilkinson; son, Jim Wilkinson (Jeannette); grandsons, Brandon Wilkinson, Bryan Wilkinson (Melanie), Blaine Wilkinson, Jacob Stevens; great-grandchildren, Shane, Alexis, McLean and Ryann Wilkinson.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the America Heart Association or the Cancer Society. The visitation will start on Thursday afternoon until 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 11, 2012 at the Sunny Lane Cemetery.
