Kenneth was introduced to Christ at a very young age. He attended his first Sunday school at Christian Life, later migrated to The House of Prayers, and finished his spiritual journey at Prevailing Church. His faith was planted early in his life, and we find peace in knowing that foundation still stands.
After high school, Kenneth’s spirit was just a little too big for the classroom. Life took its turns, but with determination and quiet strength, he earned his GED — a true testament to his resilience and his desire to grow and better himself. That accomplishment meant something, because he worked for it.
Kenneth was known for his infectious smile — the kind that could shift the atmosphere of an entire room. He had a playful spirit that brightened even the heaviest moments. He was comical, happy, full of life, and yes — a big flirt. But beneath that charm was a deeply loving heart.
Ken loved sports. On the basketball court, he proudly “broke ankles.” The game reflected his competitive spirit, passion, and drive. He played with heart. He lived with heart. He loved staying active — he could never stand still for long. He enjoyed going out, having fun, and truly living life. Whether he was hanging out with his cousins, laughing with his aunts and uncles, or just showing up somewhere, Kenneth brought energy. He brought life. He didn’t just exist —
Kenneth had an unconditional and profound love for his mother. The pride he carried in being her son was evident. Their bond was strong, personal, and irreplaceable. That connection will forever live in her heart and in the memories they shared.
He also shared a beautiful and meaningful bond with his grandmother, Linda Martin. She offered him wisdom, comfort, and love. The guidance she gave and the care she showed helped shape the man he became. The love between them was deep and lasting.
As a nephew, he was deeply loved by his uncles and cherished by his cousins. Those family ties meant everything to him. He also took pride in being an uncle — laughing with his nieces and nephews, encouraging them, and being fiercely protective over them. He loved hard when it came to family.
Kenneth was a believer in Christ, and because of his faith, we hold on to the comfort that he now rests in God’s hands.
Though his time with us feels far too short, his life mattered. The love he gave, the laughter he shared, the energy he carried — those things remain. His presence will be missed, but his memory will live on in every story told, every laugh remembered, and every heart he touched.
