LeRoy Duncan

LeRoy Duncan, 89, of Del City, OK. LeRoy was born on May 26, 1925 in Durant, Oklahoma to Russell “Shorty” and Ada Mae Duncan. After 89 years of enjoying all kinds of adventure with his kids and grandkids, LeRoy went to join his wife of 56 years, Wanda, on June 11, 2014.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda; son, Galvin Lee Duncan; daughter, Sherry Lynn Gresham-Mullins; and grand-daughter, Shauna L; brothers Buddy Duncan and Jimmy Dale Duncan; sisters Dorothy Gelenter, Martha Williams, and Alma Jones.

LeRoy is survived by his three daughters, Brenda K. Woods and Jimmy and their children, Angela, Jamie, Jeffery and Sandy; Wanda J. Rooks and Virgil and their children, Jodi and Amber; Debra M. Young and her children, Terry Jr. and Joey Don; and his two sons, Terry W. Duncan and Angela and their children, Galvin, Karen, Matt and Jessica; Alvin R. Duncan and Carry and their children Sarah L., Paige, Carlie and Chrystal; daughter Sherry Gresham-Mullins’ children, Ty Gresham and Allen Mullins. LeRoy had 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; and his sisters and brothers, Willie J. Retano, Rusty Duncan, Jeannie Bullock “Alice”, Callie Starett, Bobby Duncan and sister-in-law, Bertha Duncan.

LeRoy enjoyed kicking back on a creek bed with a cold beer and watching the joy of his life, his children and grandchildren as they fished and swam. There are many memories of fishing, hunting, camping trips and frog gigging.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 2:00p.m. at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel with interment at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
