Lisa Renae Bear, age 54, of Del City, Oklahoma, passed away on March 8, 2025, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City. Born on September 16, 1970, in Claremore, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Ivan Bear and Christine Bear, and was also blessed with the love and guidance of her parents, Jana O’Neill and Dennis O’Neill.
A devoted homemaker, Lisa found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was passionate about fishing, baking, cooking, sewing, Native American accessories, softball, and watching her children play. Her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by her loved ones, and she was a steadfast advocate for Native Americans. Lisa’s warm heart and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Lisa’s proudest moments were watching her children graduate from school, sign their NLIs for college, and become independent adults. She was also incredibly proud of her achievements, including being the mother of three and a member of the USSSA 1985 Slow Pitch National Championship team with the Del City Zappers. This team was later inducted into the USSSA Hall of Fame, an honor that meant a great deal to Lisa.
Lisa is survived by her children, EJ Hall, Stephon Hall, and Camryn Clark; her siblings, Christina McMillan, Sheila Smith, Bonnie Martinez, Ivan Bear Jr, and Jason Bear; her biological mother, Christine Bear. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jana O’Neill, Dennis O’Neill, and biological father, Ivan Bear; and her brother, Michael Bear.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home in Del City. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel, in Del City, OK with interment to follow at Sunnylane Cemetery in Del City, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be Stephon Hall, E.J. Hall, Johnson Scott, John Hall, Kevin Smith, and Ken McMillan.
A celebration of Lisa’s life will take place at the Chickasaw Nation Community Center, starting at 2:00 PM and continuing throughout the day.
Lisa’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all who have offered their love and support during this difficult time. She will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family.
