Calvin attended schools in Rexroat, Wilson and Healdton, Oklahoma, where he graduated high school in 1947. He joined the Army and was active in World War II and the Korean War. On July 8, 1955, he married his sweetheart Mary and they were married until she passed away on March 18, 2008. When he retired from Tinker Air Force Base, he moved to Cookson, Oklahoma, where he resided until his death. Calvin was an OU donor and avid OU football fan.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, his parents Arthur and Stella Lewis, a brother, Vernon Lewis, and a sister, Dorothy Lewis. He leaves behind a brother and sister-in-law, Art and Margaret Lewis of Hennepin, Oklahoma, 3 nephews, 2 nieces and several great-nieces and great-nephews, along with several cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, October 21, 2011, at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
