Marcia was born on July 25th,1945 to Ray and Vera Norman. She was born in Purcell because that was the “big town” with a hospital near where they lived in Lexington. They moved to Norman for a few years and then to Del City. Marcia attended Townsend Elementary, Kerr Junior High and Del City High School where she graduated on the honor roll in 1963. She was an outstanding band member, scoring top honors in the tri-state band festival playing the clarinet. She also played piano, flute and the accordion. While in high school Marcia met and fell in love with Ron Vaughan. They married on February 1st, 1962. During their nearly 65 years of marriage, they lived in Del City, Oklahoma City, on an acreage in Newcastle and then back to Oklahoma City. Their current home on 5 acres in SE OKC was her favorite place to be for the past 30 years. She liked being outside doing yard work and enjoying the sunsets. Cooking, sewing, and doing hair was how she showed love. She was loved and appreciated by everyone who was lucky enough to receive these gifts from her. Marcia was the office manager and secretary for Statewide Claims and Investigations which she and Ron opened in 1982 and operated until they both retired in 2010. She is survived by her loving husband Ron, their son Russell and wife Kendra, daughter Amber and grandchildren Kayleigh and husband Jacob, Kodi and husband Taylor, Austin and Adison and great-grandchildren Rhyatt, Callan, and Cooper. Siblings Vince, Victor and Vivi, Uncle Craig and countless cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Fond memories of Marcia, Mom and Mimi, whoever she was to you, will remain in our hearts forever.
