Margaret Louise (Watson) Frazer, 94, joined her many beloved family members and friends in heaven on 11/11/22, at 4:30 PM. She was born May 6, 1928 on a farm near Lamesa, in west Texas, to Leslie William (L.W.) Watson, Sr. and Mattie Jewell (Bussell) Watson.
Margaret graduated from Lamesa High School in 1945. At the age of 21, she married to Bill Winder, an oilfield geologist of Wichita Falls, TX. She met him while working as a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone Company in her hometown of Lamesa. They moved all over the US and Canada for 24 years during the oil boom, while raising their three children. They divorced in 1970 while living in Edmond, OK.
Margaret remained blissfully single and a fashion diva, working in retail sales for about 14 years before marrying Henry S Frazer in 1983. Being retired, they enjoyed over 30 years of travel, live music, dancing, and entertaining their many friends and family members (especially the grandkids!). Following Henry’s passing in 2012 at 91, Margaret remained a widow. She was an amazing cook and hostess as well as seamstress, gardener, wife, and mother. She truly was an angel living amongst us, and lived her life for Jesus. Margaret was well loved and adored by all who knew her. She never met a stranger, always making everyone feel special and appreciated. Her radiant smile, beautiful auburn hair, sapphire blue eyes, and sparkling personality will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Henry Simeon Frazer; one older brother L.W. Watson, Jr. (Dub) of Lamesa, TX; two sisters: Nelda Faye Holt of Oxnard, CA and Melba Lee Trahan of Rockwall, TX; son Michael Doak Winder of Wellston, OK; her grandson Christopher James Long of Oklahoma City, as well as some of her dear great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her youngest sister Martha Rebber of Lamesa, TX; two daughters: Angela Lee (Winder) Burns and Judith Annette (Winder) Cole, both of Oklahoma City, as well as an abundance of loving grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Margaret passed peacefully at home in Oklahoma City, surrounded by loved ones. On this world, she bestowed a legacy of kindness, generosity, and compassion, which will continue on in the hearts of those she knew and held close.
A memorial and celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, Dec. 5th, at the Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel - 5005 SE 29th St and Sooner Rd, Del City. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Margaret & Henry Frazer.
