Marie attended school up until the 9th grade when she then went to work in a thread factory. Later, she proudly joined the United States Air Force, and honored her country by serving one tour. During her military service she would meet the man she would eventually marry, Monroe Garland Davis, Jr. She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, embroidery, sewing, cross-stitching, and was an avid reader. She loved her family and throughout her life she had a few pets she cherished; just to name a few, her cats, Sammy and Rosie and her dog, Butch.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joseph Delisle and sister, Blanche (Delisle) Godin. Survivors include her loving husband of 61 years, Monroe; daughter, Nancy Dianne Bartling and husband, Milton and one grandson, Justin Paul Bartling.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel. Condolences may be offered at www.eisenhourfuneral.com
