Marvin “Zip” Leroy Lilly, 72, passed away on October 17, 2016 in Midwest City, OK. He was born on September 8, 1944 in Three Rivers, Michigan to Marvin E. and Bonnie Jean (Weiss) Lilly. During his early childhood, Marvin was adopted and raised by his loving father, George Irving Puffer.
Zip worked for many years in the pest control business serving as the vice president. He also owned Zip’s Sporting Good’s in Midwest City. He was a sports enthusiast and could often be found watching golf, football or baseball. Zip enjoyed working in his yard, landscaping, indulging in sweets, ice cream or coke, and was known for being a jack of all trades.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Marvin Leroy Lilly, II. Survivors include his loving wife, Betsy; children, Kevin Lilly and wife, Martie, Laura Lee Farris, Brian Lilly, Jason Lilly and wife, Kacie, and Jessica Gerding; step-sons, Mike and Dusty Hill; grandchildren, Austin and Payton Lilly, Amanda and Alex Gittens, Ashley Denoyer, Cambria and Lily Gerding, Camden and Paxton Lilly, Kaylene and Blaze Lilly; great-grandchildren, Zoey Marie and Asher Kempton; siblings, Brandon, Becky and Gary Puffer.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel.
