Mary Josephine Edgar Damron

Mary Josephine Damron, 74, passed away on Mrch 18, 2011 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK while surrounded by her family. Mary was born June 19, 1936 in Walden, Colorado to Arthur Tuttle and Macle Eva (Hornbuckle) Edgar. Mary was a life-long resident of Del City and member of Meadowood Baptist Church in Midwest City. Mary will be most remembered by all as a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and special friend. She loved children, enjoyed reading, and marveled at the changing of seasons, especially the beautiful colors of Fall.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, John Ray Damron; infant son, William Ray Damon; great-grandson, Chandler Damron. Survivors include her children, Norma Ann Damron, Cathy Lynn Damron, Scott Damron and Terri Jo Damron; grandchildren, Janis Frazier and husband Dustin, Justin Damron and wife Shawnda, Casey Dawn Care and husband Collin, Leslie Damron, John Kyle Damron and Jennifer Sue Damron; great-grandchildren, Shellbe, Dustin (DJ), Noah and Brooklyn Frazier, Kiley, Katie, Cassidy and Cara Damron, Tyler and Alexis Damron; Samara Care; sister, Aretha Denny; brother-in-law, William Thomas Damron; sister-in-law, Norma Dean Damron; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Konawa Cemetery in Konawa, OK.
