

Mary Jean (Wilson) Wickware, 96, of Oklahoma City, departed this life peacefully at her home on December 29, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones.
Mary was born in Loco Oklahoma on June 3, 1926. She was the daughter of Thomas and Stella (Mullins) Willson and the seventh of nine children. She married Alvin Wickware on February 15, 1947 and they were married 35 years and were blessed with 8 children.
Mary grew up as a farm girl and loved spending time in the countryside. She was employed at the Douglas Plant at Tinker Air Force Base as a “Rosie the Riveter” where she assisted in the construction of airplanes for the war effort during WWII. She spent most of her adult life as a homemaker and caregiver for her children and grandchildren. Mary was a very humble and giving person often putting others before herself. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children Linda (Bill) Hancock, Barbara Bartlett, Sherry (Joel) Ross, Tammie (Mike) Littrell, Roger Wickware, and Rhonda (Aaron) Brown. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Stella, her husband Alvin, sons Wayne and Larry, grandson Jeremy, granddaughter Lena, and all 8 siblings including sisters Dossie, Margie, Harriet, Jane and brothers L.B., John, Tommy and Jerry.
Services will be held at Sunny Lane Funeral Home January 4, 2023 at 11:00 am with a 10:00 am viewing.
