Our Dad, Melvin C. Thompson, went to meet the Lord on Thursday, November 24, 2011. Melvin owned and operated Thompson Machine for 40 years in South Oklahoma City. Melvin also worked with the Insurance Pool and well known for trading skills and his ability to “get someone to their absolute bottom dollar”. Melvin loved to go fishing with anyone who would sit and listen to his stories about the big ones he had caught in the past. He also loved to go dancing and playing music with family and friends. His parents Melvin Sr. and Lela Thompson precede Melvin in death. His wife Susie Thompson, son Robert Hale and his wife Barbara Hale survive him. His two daughters, also survive him, Reba Sue Yonnes and husband John Yonnes; and Melva and husband Warren Noakes. Four sisters, eight grandkids, twenty-two great grandkids and two great-great grand kids survive him. The family would like to thank his caregivers Annette Berry and Clara Hall, and Providence home health and Choice Hospice.
