Mike was an avid hunter but he also enjoyed camping and occasionally fishing. He was a scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts and was even scoutmaster for his son, Chris’s, troop. Mike was a hard worker and after high school, he spent some time in the Marines, working as a diesel mechanic. He also went to college, earning some credits before starting his next adventure. Mike was a jack-of-all-trades but he spent the last 33 years at the same company, Palfinger, there he formed meaningful relationships with the people he considered his closest friends and family.
Mike will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Hope and a brother, James Hope. Michael is survived by his children; Sarah Hope of Jones, Oklahoma and Christopher Hope and wife Anna of DeKalb, Illinois; brother, Eddie Hope of Mustang, Oklahoma; 3 grandchildren, Ava, Charlize, and Teagan Smith; 1 niece and 3 nephews.
Services for Michael will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Sunny Lane Funeral Home Chapel located at 4000 SE 29th ST, Del City, OK. Interment will immediately follow at Arlington Memory Gardens located at 3400 N. Midwest Blvd., MWC, OK for those who wish to attend.
