Nancy Louise Leard

Nancy enjoyed playing golf with her husband, Bud two times per week and finally was able to master her swing. In her early years, she and Bud were on a bowling league and would bowl up to five days per week. She always kept a perfect yard with beautiful flowers for each of the seasons. Her beautiful flowers even transitioned into her career as a floral arranger. She enjoyed flowers so much that she and Bud would travel back to her home state in the fall to visit family and see the fall foliage. Nancy and Bud were avid bird watchers. They always made sure their bird feeder was full. Nancy loved watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and doing crossword puzzles. She loved doing any type of arts and crafts so much that she even had a room dedicated to crafting at home.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Joan Reilly and Sandra Thibault. Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, George “Bud” Leard Jr.; children, George Leard, Audrey Beaty and husband Randy, Michael Leard and wife Ginny, and Patricia McHargue and husband Terry; grandchildren, Karl Leard, Brian Beaty and wife Erica, Amber Peterson and husband Clint, Alicia Bertwell, Nate Bertwell, Gennifer McHargue, Christina Serrano and husband Marco, and Sherry McHargue; great-grandchildren, Thomas, Addie, Benjamin, Grace, and Teagan; sister, Rhonda Thibault; and many other family members who will miss her dearly.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel. Interment will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.
